Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration (Road reconstruction)

As per the Gandhi Jayanthi varacharanam we reconstructed road near our school which was not suitable for vehicles.It was very difficult to walk through when it is raining.

We celebrated the birthday of our nation's greatest leader,the legend of our country, Mahatma Gandhi.We coordinated a campaign for cleaning the school premises and for making the waste management of our school more effectively. New volunteers of first year joined the programme.We did this as a project for  resolving the problems related to waste management.

   Today september 24 we celebrated the NSS day.Our pricipal Usha hoisted the NSS flag.After the hoistage of flag volounteers engaged in the cleaning of school premises.

The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It is observed annually on 26 June, since 1988, a date chosen to commemorate Lin Zexu's dismantling of the opium trade in Humen, Guangdong, just before the First Opium War in China.The observance was instituted by General Assembly Resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987.

The UN's 2007 World Drug Report puts the value of the illegal drug trade at US$322 billion a year.

International Yoga Day Celebration. 21 July 2015

International Yoga Day, June 21, was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice or discipline that originated in India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN Address suggested the date to be June 21 as the International Day of Yoga as it is the longest day of the year (Summer Solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world.

 We NSS unit of GHSS Anchal East also celebrated this auspicious day.Our coordinator Jayakumar leaded the Yoga class.
